One of the reasons of snoring is weakening of soft palate and nasopharynx. When sleeping the muscles of the above relax and obstruct the airways hindering intake of air. Sometimes breathing is totally interrupted (apnea). At that moment less oxygen is supplied to blood, and the brain, heart and other organs feel deficiency of it so their functioning is detuned. A person would wake up and it may occur numerous times during the night. One gets no rest, becomes irritated and has lower working capacity

Regular deficiency of oxygen, repeated functioning disorders of brain, heart and blood circulation would frazzle the nervous system and pose a real threat of health problems like heart infarct and insult. Snoring is one of the contributing factors to „death in sleep", especially of heart attack, insult, heart stoppage.

Obstruction aroused snoring, which accounts for 90 per cent of all cases, is successfully cured by a simple device EKSTRA-LOR. The device keeps the tongue in a required position (backwards) and the muscles of nasopharyx and soft palate remain in extended position.
